Arrive at your hotel. Check in. Your guide will meet you at the hotel. Depart for the Mobile Museum of Art to enjoy a spectacular exhibit of decorated Christmas trees. You are invited to a private home for a Glogg Party. Glogg is a Swedish drink of mulled hot wine with secret herbs and spices, served with authentic Scandinavian delicacies to treat your palate. Return to the comfort of your hotel. Dress up for dinner at the Bienville Club, a private club, overlooking the Port of Mobile. Enjoy a delicious dinner of regional cuisine as you watch the sun set. |
Day 2 * 12Hours * 65 Miles
9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Breakfast is served in the hotel dining room. Meet your guide and depart for a tour of historic Old Mobile, which is decorated in traditional Christmas scenes. Stop at an antebellum home beautifully decorated for the holidays. Hot beverages served. For lunch you will enjoy a unique experience. Welcome aboard the USS ALABAMA, a WWII Battleship. Buffet lunch will be served in the ward room. Tour the ship, the Submarine USS DRUM, and the Air Craft Pavilion. Return to the comfort of your hotel. This will be an awesome evening. Bellingrath Gardens and Home brings to life the magic of Christmas. Millions of lights, displays, seasonal music, nativity and much more. Dinner will be served before we depart for the comfort of your hotel. |
Day 3 * 8Hours * 120 Miles
9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Breakfast is served in the hotel dining room. Meet your guide and depart for the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, one of the most exclusive resort areas of the country. First stop is Malbis Plantation where we will visit the Greek Orthodox Church of Malbis. There are over 100 hand painted murals and icons in the church. We will visit The Story Book Guest House, a very unusual and unique home built in the 1940's with left over building materials. Refreshments will be served. The highlight of the day is a sumptuous buffet lunch at Marriott's Grand Hotel. Board your coach and we will ride along the sugar white sand beaches of Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. You can walk on the beach if you like. Tonight we will have a light supper in the hotel dining room as you say farewell to Mobile. |
