Mardi Gras Tour Package

Day I * Saturday * 7 Hours * 10 Miles

3: 00 pm to 10: 00 pm
Arrive at your hotel. Check in. Reception of deluxe hor d'oeuvres with a preview of what the merriment and misrule of Mardi Gras is all about. The highlight of tonight is the Coronation of the Queen of Mardi Gras. We have to be in our seats at exactly 6:00 pm and the coronation will last one hour. Return to the comfort of your hotel.
Day 2 * Sunday * 8 Hours * 60 Miles
9:00 am to 11:30 pm
Sunrise breakfast complimented with southern grits... Depart for a walking tour of internationally famous Bellingrath Gardens and Home. This "garden spot of the south" is a year round floral wonderland. Luncheon will be in the Gardens Restaurant. Time to depart for Mobile to celebrate the Joe Cain Parade. Cain is the man who resurrected Mardi Gras after the War Between the States. Return to the hotel for a light supper and then time to depart for Le Krewe de Bienville Ball. Your group will view the the pageantry of the Ball from your balcony seat. Return to the comfort of your hotel.
Day 3 * Monday * 12 Hours * 70 Miles
9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Depart for a tour of the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, one of the most exclusive resort areas of the country. First stop.. The Greek Orthodox church at Malbis Plantation, then on to Punta Clara Kitchen to see and sample some indescribably delicious candy being made. Top off the morning with a tour of  The Story Book Guest House. This home was buitl in the1940's by an artist with left over building materials.  It is very unique. Sumptuous buffet luncheon will be at the Grand Dame of resort hotels. Marriott's Grand Hotel. We will do a walking tour of Fairhope, a quaint bayside village filled with artisan shops for unique crafts and gifts. Return to the comfort of your hotel. We will depart for the parade site and have a catered meal before the Infant Mystics Parade. Return to the comfort of your hotel with a lot of moon pies and beads.
Day 4 * Tuesday * Mardi Gras Day * 12 Hours * 10 Miles
9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Depart for the parade site and viewing location. The day will be on your own to wander the streets, watch the people, and the parades. A box lunch will be served. There will be four parades. Return to the comfort of your hotel. Rest and then we will depart for a farewell dinner at one of our 4-Star restaurants. Return to the comfort of your hotel.
Day 5 * Wednesday
7:30 am to 8:30 am
Breakfast is served in the hotel dining room. Check out and Depart. Count all of your "loot" on the way home.
